The Reality of Training: It’s Not Always Perfect
You’re human. That means:
Some weeks your numbers go up, and everything feels light.
Other weeks it feels like you’re dragging a concrete block through quicksand.
And that’s okay. Progress is never linear, and bad days are part of the journey.
Why Do ‘Bad Sessions’ Happen?
‘Bad sessions’ don’t come out of nowhere. There are always underlying factors at play.
Next time it feels like the weights are 10x heavier, try doing a quick self-check-in.
Nine times out of ten, one (or more) of these will give you an aha! moment about why you’re struggling.
When You’re in the Middle of a Bad Session
Take a deep breath.
Remind yourself:
Any movement is better than no movement.
Even if you’re grinding through and it feels sh*t, getting through the session still counts. You’re showing up, and that’s HUGE.
Once you’ve identified the culprit behind a bad session, you can start making small changes to your routine to counteract it.
But let’s keep it real—sometimes life throws curveballs that you just can’t avoid. And that’s okay too. Sometimes on those days, you just need to hug a friend and know that tomorrow will be better.
Here’s the thing:
For every bad session, there’s another session waiting for you that’s going to feel F*CKING AMAZING.
Bad days make the great days feel even better. It’s just how life works.
Be kind to yourself on the tough days.
Go ALL OUT on the good ones.
It’s all about balance, sis.
Remember: one bad session doesn’t define you or your progress. Just keep showing up and doing what you can.
