If you’re someone who enjoys a sweet breakfast (I can relate), you don’t HAVE to have a side of carrots with your toast or sneak zucchini into your oats. There’s no rulebook that says that.
So if you hate it and it makes you dread breakfast – then f*ck the veggies off (for now…)
1. Food Is Meant To Be Enjoyable
Breakfast sets the tone for your day, so forcing yourself to eat something you don’t enjoy is pointless. If savoury meals aren’t your vibe, ditch the veggies and find a breakfast that makes you excited to eat. Consistency comes from enjoyment, not obligation.
Breakfast isn’t your only chance to eat vegetables. You can pack your lunch, dinner, or snacks full of them. Stir-fries, salads, soups, or even veggie sticks between meals can easily help you hit your goals. Morning veggies aren’t mandatory.
3. Breakfast Can Still Be Nutrient-Dense
Even without veggies, breakfast can be loaded with nutrients. Sweet options like oats, yoghurt bowls, or toast with fruit can deliver fibre, vitamins, and energy. Smoothies are another great choice – skip the greens if you want, and still pack in protein, fruit, and healthy fats.
Your meals don’t have to look like anyone else’s. If someone loves veggies in their omelette or smoothie, great for them – but that doesn’t mean you need to do the same. Your preferences are still valid, and food freedom means eating in a way that works for you, without guilt or stress.
You don’t need veggies in your breakfast to start the day off right. Focus on meals you enjoy and save your veggies for later. Sweet breakfasts, like oats or fruit-topped yoghurt, are perfectly valid choices.
What truly matters is fueling your body in a way that feels good and supports your overall goals. Breakfast should set the tone for your day – so make it enjoyable, personal, and guilt-free.
